Being in charge
of your own protection?
That’s hot.
We’ve got you covered
How is FC2 covered for $0 out-of-pocket cost with most insurance plans? Under the Affordable Care Act (ACA), insurance plans (both individual and employer-sponsored) are required to cover all FDA-approved methods of female contraception, including the female condom (aka internal condom), prescribed by a doctor without cost-sharing (copayment or coinsurance).
No cost-sharing means that you should not have any out-of-pocket costs for coverage of contraceptive methods. Some exclusions for religious organizations may apply. If you have any questions about your coverage, please call the number on the back of your insurance card to speak with your provider.
Key benefits
Key benefits
Benefit 1
No-negotiation protection
No rock paper scissors over whether your partner is or isn’t going to wear a condom. You win. Every time.
Benefit 2
High efficacy
FC2 is a highly effective barrier contraceptive that also protects against STIs, including HIV. It has a 95% efficacy with perfect use. Perfect use means that FC2 was used correctly with each act of intercourse. Use as your all-in-one on-demand birth control method or in tandem with hormonal birth control for extra protection.1
Benefit 3
No pressing pause
Slip in your FC2 before intimacy to seamlessly transition into sexy time without worrying about protection or having to stop for your partner to put on a condom. Most women insert FC2 between 2 and 20 minutes before sex, but feel free to use FC2 when it works best for you.
Benefit 4
Latex-free condom
FC2 is made with nitrile, making it hypoallergenic and great for anyone with latex allergies. Although nicely lubricated with silicone (no additives!) FC2 can also be used with oil- and water-based lubricants.
Benefit 5
$0 copay
With a prescription, you can get FC2 for $0 out-of-pocket with most health insurance plans. Big thanks to the Affordable Care Act for covering female birth control methods!
Benefit 6
STI protection
Did we mention STI protection? Not every contraceptive method protects against STIs, including HIV. With FC2, you get more than pregnancy prevention, and it is as effective at protecting against STIs as male condoms. Use as your dual-protection birth control method in tandem with your hormonal birth control1 or just for the STI benefits.
Benefit 7
Hormone-free
Hormones getting you down? Since FC2 is a barrier method, you can say goodbye to unwanted side effects and hello to that hormone-free life.
Benefit 8
All the feels
The latex-free nitrile material adheres to the vaginal walls and warms to the body after insertion for a natural feel. Some users report feeling the condom can heighten pleasurable sensations. Check out our FAQs and testimonials!2
Benefit 9
Delivered right to your door
